  Sequences of learning

  The Turkish curriculum recognises that there are different entry points into language learning across F–10, which reflects current language teaching practice.

• Turkish - F–10 Sequence: Levels 9 and 10 achievement standards

  By the end of Level 10, students use spoken and written Turkish to initiate, sustain and extend interactions with peers, teachers and others in a range of contexts and for a range of purposes. They exchange ideas, opinions and aspirations, for example, Türkçe öğretmeni olmak istiyorum.

  • composing and performing their own simple rhymes and action songs that build on familiar language and content and use non-verbal forms of support, such as clapping, gestures and facial expressions
