The curriculum is structured around four strands each of which involves making and responding.

Developing and refining Visual Communication Designs for different audiences and purposes. Considering the relationship between designer’s intentions, audience characteristics and needs.

Analysing and evaluating Visual Communication Designs for different audiences and purposes in different contexts.  

Achievement standards

In Visual Communication Design, students progress along a curriculum continuum that provides the first achievement standard at Level 8 and then at Level 10.
